Sorry Heather...I will correct that. Yes...the sandwiches do dry out a little when I make them the night before. But my son doesn't seem to care.

Thanks for the Make A Bag plug! I guess you can call me Melissa... :)

Question about your cotton sandwich bags - do you make sandwiches the night before? Do your sandwiches dry out by lunchtime? Do the kids even notice if they do?

Oh...check your local community centers or craft stores. They often run free or very very cheap classes.

Yes..I will be throwing a post or two up with easy ideas hoping to inspire the reluctant.

Knitting scarves is very easy. It is much easier to learn the basic stitches with someone actually showing you...but there are pretty cool videos on line if you don't know anyone. I really like it, but I don't know anything too fancy...just the basics.

My sister and I are trying to convince the whole family to "go handmade" with ALL the gifts this year. Some are complaining that they lack time and/or talent, but really, with etsy and local craft fairs in the fall, it's really a piss-poor excuse.

And really? do you knit? I'd love to try, but it looks really hard. I would LOVE to make scarves!

You can sterilize white wine bottles, which are usually clear glass, and order new corks online. Mantoncork.com sells natural cork stoppers. If you don't drink wine, ask your friends, or rummage through your neighbors' recyclies. Also, you can usually find some funky glass bottles at yard sales & thrift stores. Limoncello, other flavored vodkas, oils, and vinegar make great reuse and homemade projects. I wish I were on your list!

Hey, thanks for the reminder! I could start some limoncello now and have it ready in time for the holidays. One question, though. Any suggestions on containers to use for giving it? Where does one find small liqueur bottles at a reasonable price (or free)?
